The following is a small sample of the Customer Analysis section of a full White Mirror Report. In order to gather the data you see below, White Mirror utilizes Sparktoro. Sparktoro allows us to sample a large number of online profiles that share a certain characteristic, like following a certain influencer or visiting a particular website. It’s important to understand that Sparktoro doesn’t analyze ALL the profiles that share this characteristic, that would be impossible. Nevertheless, it allows us to paint a very reliable picture, and one that is far more accurate than what we would get from traditional market research methods. For reference, the industry standard for a typical market survey is to analyze the answers of about 400 participants. For Refined Tweets, just for the Hypefury examples, we analyzed more than 11,000. With the current workflow, one full White Mirror Report requires our team of four to work full time for 7 days. Unfortunately, our workload was too heavy and we had to prioritize paid work. What you’re getting today is the result of me working on the Refined Tweets project on my free time. A few hours each day after work and some extra time on the weekends was all I could do under our current circumstances. So, I’m just letting you know: this isn’t a fair representation of the quality of the White Mirror Report. There’s much, much more to it.
From my initial analysis and our conversations, I decided to focus on 2 markets for Refined Tweets:
People who use Twitter to build a brand and grow an audience. They won’t hesitate to use (and pay for) tools that help them do their work, and they are always looking to get ahead of the competition. They can use Refined Tweets to find posts that are more relevant to their niche and discover lucrative opportunities to engage.
A lot of casual users can fall into this category but it’s best to narrow down on people that are generally mindful of how they use social media and technology. Those who understand how destructive social media noise is to their daily lives are much more likely to pay to eliminate it. For those people, Refined Tweets is not only an investment in comfort, it’s also an investment in self-improvement.
